Our new logo design allows Thetford Garden Centre to flourish as a cherished community landmark.

When the team from Thetford Garden Centre approached us, they had recently completed an exercise to discover their company values. With a clear vision of their principles, were looking to redefine their brand identity accordingly. The first step in this process; creating a new logo that symbolised these values while supporting them going forward.

Crafting a Logo that Embraces Heritage and Innovation

Working closely with Thetford Garden Centre, we delved into their values and uncovered their desire to create a logo that was modern while still honouring their rich heritage. They also wanted a logo that resonated with all generations in their community, reflecting what Thetford Garden Centre means to them.

Drawing Inspiration from the Past

Over the years, Thetford Garden Centre had experienced logo variations across its physical premises and marketing materials. With this in mind, we chose to create a logo that incorporated elements of all of their past logos, with typography taking centre stage.

We didn't stop at the logo itself; we also reimagined the supporting leaf icon. We redesigned the lead to be softer, with more curves and a less rigid position. This helped to achieve a more refined and modern feel to the logo. Because the logo would be used across various marketing platforms, we created a versatile lockup that seamlessly adapts to left and centre alignments. This ensures a consistent and polished brand presence.

Embracing Welcoming Aesthetics

To create a warm and inviting atmosphere, we selected a serif font, P22 Mackinac Pro. This choice reflects Thetford Garden Centre’s ability to connect with diverse audiences.

Bringing the Brand to Life

Our collaboration with Thetford Garden Centre extended beyond logo design. To ensure seamless integration of the new logo into their existing marketing materials, we created a series of mock-ups that incorporated the new logo design with their established brand guidelines. By integrating Thetford Garden Centre's existing marketing materials with our new designs, we crafted engaging content for marketing banners. We also introduced a contemporary and sophisticated touch to collateral such as shopping bags and gift cards, embodying the essence of Thetford Garden Centre.
